Just a quick heads-up to let people know that the Sony Xperia SP (C530X) is now listed on Sony’s PC Companion and Sony Update Service (SUS). Obviously this doesn’t mean much until the handset is out, but it does highlight that it is well on track to launch within the next month. We for one are very much looking forward to seeing the return of the transparent bar, along with just how customisable it will be.To get an idea of how this will work, check out the video below which shows that there will be a ‘Light effects’ menu option sitting under Settings > Display. This will allow you to change the light for various notifications such as missed calls, unread SMS, alarms as well as incoming calls and SMS’. Various colour options are presented such as white, turquoise, yellow, green, red, blue and others. The display settings also hosts the glove mode and white balance settings.
